Coronavirus: The new coronavirus is active for a long time at high temperatures. The virus is destroyed only when heat is brought to a close by boiling. Such results have been found in a French researcher’s experiment. The South China Morning Post reports.
Professor Remy Cherrell and his colleagues at the University of Aix-Marseille in France conducted the study. After heating the coroner sample for one hour at 60 degrees Celsius, they were able to see parts of it active. Scientists apply the temperature to the virus to boiling it. As a result of this, the safety of the lab staff has been raised.
Scientists used kidney cells from an African monkey and a sample from a patient in Germany to study the new coronavirus. Virus samples are stored in a ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ environment. After the application of heat, the virus in the clean environment becomes dormant, but the dirty environment is active.
The Morning Post says 60 degrees Celsius is being used in lab tests for corona samples, which has become a cause for concern. Using more heat is the only way to solve this problem, says a French research team. They say that if applied at a temperature of 92 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, it becomes completely ineffective.
Contextually, the temperature is 100 degrees Celsius when the water is boiling or evaporating. One of the researchers said the coronavirus behaves differently as the environment changes. Physicians looking for a way to solve this complexity.
